Why do students need New Student Center?

No more overcrowded Brady basement — Campus activities space will more than double.

Celebrities on campus — no, not Brad Pitt and Sheryl Crow-Beetle Bailey, and his new home, Mort’s place

More study and eating space than ever — the days of dirty, jam packed cafeteria seating will soon be over.

Cement walls are out, Mizzou pride is in — the new building will not only celebrate current Mizzou spirit and accomplishments, but historical Mizzou leaders and tradition.

Better campus and community communication — Added media space will be evident as the Maneater, KCOU and MUTV will all gain space in the new building.

Actual lounging space, and better hours — the new Student Center will have actual places to hang out, and later hours to make it more accessible to busy students.

Student performers will gain a place to present — The Shack, attached to Mort’s place won’t be just a place to eat and hang out, but also a place for students to play music, act, and speak out.

Another thing to hold over Kansas — can any self respecting Tiger let the JayHawks have a nicer student union than Mizzou’s?

Goodbye dumpy exterior — Brady Commons was once an architectural masterpiece, in the 1950’s.  The new Student Center will keep with the traditional white of Mizzou’s white campus, while being extremely modern with lots of windows, and unique outdoor elements.

For students, By students — The new Student Center was dreamed of, created by, and half funded by students.  This gives more students then ever the chance to voice an opinion and have a say in exactly what this great addition to our campus will be like{mospagebreak}
