-Academic Retention Services (ARS) has sought to ensure students’ academic Success. ARS is responsible for implementing the MAP program, a comprehensive support resource for all scholars of color, which serves to assist students with their transition from high school to college and toward the completion of their degrees. -An Act is a piece of legislation that is presented to Senate that has to do with bylaw or constitution changes.
-Asian American Association (AAA) provides cultural support for Asian American students in a primarily European American environment; representing and addressing the needs, concerns, and issues of Asian American students; increasing campus and community awareness pertaining to Asian American issues; and celebrating the richness and diversity of the Asian American experience. 882-7152
-Associated Students of the University of Missouri (ASUM) was founded by the University of Missouri-Columbia Missouri Student Association. MSA felt that students needed a specific legislative arm and requested that a fee be administered to support the program that came to be known as ASUM. ASUM lobbies on behalf of UM student interests and provides meaningful student leadership and hands-on learning experiences in the area of policy development, higher education concerns and processes, and day to day operations of state and federal government. ASUM has a student Board of Directors, representative of each UM system campus. Students are elected/selected by their campus Student Government Association. Board representation correlates to the student enrollment on each UM campus, with board seat allocations to correlate to student enrollment. 882-2701
-Black Programming Committee (BPC) is a committee under the executive branch of MSA, under the Department of Student Activities. BPC is responsible for programming events that appeal to black students on campus and bring diversity to the campus as a whole. 882-3780

-Box Office is an auxiliary of MSA/GPC and is located at 106 Brady Commons in the Food Court.
-Campus Safety is a committee under the Department of Student Services that is responsible for responding to student’s concerns regarding safety and works with administrators to address those concerns. 884-9354
-Career Center offers assistance in the following areas: choosing a major; finding part time jobs, work study jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities; preparing for a job search, including resume and interview preparation; and applying to graduate school. The Career Center’s Employer Relations program works with employers to recruit and interview students. 882-6801
-Center for Student Involvement (CSI) is the department that MU uses to provide a host of opportunities for co-curricular participation. Students are encouraged to become involved in at least one organization, whether in a living unit or one of the 400+ organizations on campus. 882-3780
-College Music Committee (CMC) is a committee under the executive branch of MSA, under the Department of Student Activities. CMC brings concerts and other such music relates activities to campus. 882-3780\

-Counseling Center provides counseling for individuals with personal, educational, or vocational concerns is available by appointment from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Group counseling, testing services, a stress management clinic, and a self-help center are also available. 882-6601

-Gaines-Oldham Black Culture Center promotes cultural and cross-cultural learning and interaction among students, faculty, and staff at MU as well as the Columbia community. The center sponsors programs throughout the year, possesses a collection of current periodicals, and is developing a library on Black culture. The center can be reserved for meetings, receptions, or social events by all minority groups. 882-2664
-Graduate Professional Council (GPC)
-Greek Life office provides comprehensive services for the MU students who are members of the fifty IFC/PC/NPHC Greek-letter organizations on our campus. The Greek community was founded on the principles of scholarship, leadership, service, and friendship. The Mizzou Greek community celebrates outstanding achievements in each of these areas. 882-8291

-Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO) provides a social and cultural environment to increase the awareness of the Hispanic community as well as functioning as a networking and emotional support group for Hispanic Student educational achievement and professional development. 882-7152
-International Center was put in place to coordinate, support and promote the internationalization of the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. It is dedicated to promoting international awareness, fostering an appreciation for diversity, and helping students understand their roles and responsibilities as world citizens. The Center demonstrates its commitment to these ideals by creating a supportive and collaborative office environment modeled on mutual respect and understanding, and by providing professional and responsive service to MU students, scholars, faculty and staff. The Center serves not only to strengthen and bridge international resources across the MU campus, but also to engage the local and regional community in international education. -Learning Center is located in the Student Success Center and here to help undergraduates achieve academic success. We offer weekly review sessions in 20-25 introductory level courses required of students across many majors. There are reviews in biology, chemistry, physics, economics, and statistics, just to name a few. -Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center seeks to provide a safe environment that is welcoming to all students, staff, faculty, and community members. -Missouri International Student Council (MISC) is a student organization at MU that works in collaboration with other cultural student organizations to globalize our campus through the volunteerism of international student communities. -Office of Multicultural Affairs works cooperatively with other campus offices to improve the campus climate for minority and majority intercultural interaction. The Office sponsors programs throughout the year that address minority student leadership development, majority population educational outreach, and cultural celebration and exploration. The Office of Multicultural Affairs in the Department of Student Life advocates for and supports domestic ethnic-, religious-, sexual orientation-minority students and organizations. It provides diverse educational programming to increase awareness and understanding of the cultural and historic contributions of domestic minority populations. -Student Fee Review Committee (SFRC) is a vice-chancellor’s committee that makes recommendations on how the student fee money is being spent.
-Student Legal Services (SLS) is an auxiliary of MSA, more specifically the Department of Student Services.
-Student Organization Allocation Committee (SOAC) is a source of all funding for student organizations at MU. All organizations in good standing with the ORG may request funds for travel, general expenses, and honorariums. Organizations may apply for funding in the same semester they are recognized, but funds may not be used until the semester after recognition. There are limitations to who may receive funds. Organizations excluded from SOAC’s allocation abilities include Social Greek organizations, organizations who receive a direct student activity fee (e.g., MSA, GPC), and organizations who are the responsibility of an existing student government of MU department (e.g., sports clubs, academic student councils).

-Triangle Coalition (TriCo) is a student organization consisting of graduate and undergraduate students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, or allies. The purpose of the Triangle Coalition is to promote and maintain a healthy and positive environment for gay/lesbian/bisexual and transgendered undergraduates and their supporters. Our goal is to create a realistic image of our community through educational and social events. Also, the Triangle Coalition provides a network of support for its members so they may develop a positive self-image, gain self-empowerment, and set and achieve personal, social, educational, and political goals. TriCo is run by an executive board and has a constitution.

-Venture Out is part of Student Life at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Venture Out offers team building courses and Adventure programs for student groups, University staff and faculty, community groups and area businesses. Through our process of engagement and reflection, our team building courses build trust, strengthen relationships, improve communication and develop problem solving skills. Venture Out’s facilities include backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, equipment rental, the Alpine Tower, and a low ropes course. 884-1764

-Wellness Resource Center (WRC) utilizes the prevention theories of responsible decision-making, harm reduction, social norming and environmental management. The WRC provides a comprehensive, campus wide, yearlong wellness approach that begins during summer orientation and continues every month throughout the year. Each year, over 200 student programs are delivered in a wide variety of locations including academic classrooms and residence halls. In addition, various publications, educational posters and displays are used to promote wellness issues, plus the utilization of major campus events. The WRC plans on-going activities and events that support wellness as it relates to issues such as nutrition, self-esteem, stress-reduction, alcohol and drug abuse, eating disorders, smoking, etc. 882-4634

-Women’s Center offers extensive programs including interactive discussions, workshops and weekly meeting groups, outreach programs for residence halls, fraternities and sororities, classes, and community organizations on important topics such as rape and sexual violence, violence in relationships, body image and eating disorders, personal growth and awareness, self-esteem, gender socialization, and feminism. The Center offers individual and group counseling to MU students, and provides resource and referral information for services on campus and in the community. The resources at the Women’s Center are maintained by private donations. The Rape Education auxiliary of MSA is run by the women’s center, as is the Feminist Student Union (FSU). 882-6621
