Thank you for your interest in applying for the Department of Student Services. DSS is one of the three departments of the Executive branch of the Missouri Students Association. It is charged with providing programs and services to improve the overall well-being of undergraduate students. Essentially, DSS takes ideas from students, faculty, and organizations, and puts them into action through the work of its various committees (Student Programs, Special Projects, Campus Safety, and Online Services). DSS also contains four auxiliaries, which are programs or facilities which act independently of the department, but are funded through DSS and are still subsidiaries of the department. The four auxiliaries which are associated with the Department of Student Services include STRIPES, Student Legal Services, the Rape Education Office, and the Craft Studio. DSS also oversees the USA Today College Readership Program. If you have any further question please do not hesitate to e-mail us at jlpf7f@mizzou.edu.
