Student Representative to the Board of Curators

The Student Representative to the University of Missouri Board of Curators position rotates every two years to a campus with in the University of Missouri System and plays a crucial role in voicing students’ interests at the highest level of system governance. The Student Representative is uniquely positioned to participate in events, networking, and decision-making that affects all 77,328 students across the four campuses.

Application Process

  1. Download the Application Packet
  2. Read the Job Description/Expectations provided in the application packet.
  3. Submit completed applications to Sean Earl prior to the close of business (5 p.m.) on Friday, February 3. His office is located in the MU Student Center, room 2507F.

Key Dates:

Date Selection Process
January 27 Open Forum with Student Body Presidents, ISC Chair, and ASUM Executive Director (2 p.m., location TBA)
February 3 Deadline for applications and supporting documents
February 6-9 (1st Round- All Candidates) 15-minute interviews. Letters will be sent to applicants notifying them of their status.
February 10 ( 2nd Round) Intercampus Student Council / ASUM Selection Committee interviews
February 13-17 Submission of candidates to the Missouri Governor’s office. Letters will be sent to applicants notifying them of their status.
TBD The Governor’s office will do another round of interviews prior to selection the final candidate.
