About STRIPES

Undergraduate and graduate students who pay the student activity fee will receive up to $10 worth of Uber rides from downtown Columbia to their residence each month throughout the academic year.

This service is available every Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Eligible 2025-26 students received an invitation email with a special link to their MU email (ending in @umsystem.edu), prompting them to activate their Mizzou Uber for Business account. To find the email, search “Uber for Business” in your inbox.

The Mizzou Uber account is separate from the student’s personal account  but can be accessed on the Uber app. This is similar to being logged into multiple Instagram accounts on one phone, with the ability to toggle between them.

Is it different from Parking's Uber x Mizzou?

Yes. Available every night from 8 p.m. to midnight through Dec. 16, MU Parking & Transportation is offering free rides to and from the following commuter lots: Trowbridge (Lots AV14A and AV14B); Hearnes (Lot SG4) and MU Reactor (Lot RP10).

Are there limitations on where and when it can be used?

STRIPES is available every Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

How many trips can I take a month?

Eligible students will have a monthly allotment of $10 throughout the academic year. The allotment does not accrue each month.

Is it available to faculty and staff?

No, it is only available to students who pay the student fee. Eligible students will receive an invitation email with their unique link to activate STRIPES.

Can I give my credit to a friend?

Every eligible student will receive a unique link connected to their MU email. It cannot be forwarded to or activated by anyone else.
